THE VACANCY:
Cyro Cyber are looking for a Pre-Sales and Bid Manager to lead and manage the end-to-end bid process, ensuring that high-quality, winning proposals are developed and delivered. You will oversee the full lifecycle of bids, from early client engagement and Go/No-Go decision-making, through to submission, presentation, negotiation, and contract finalisation.
The role requires working closely with multiple stakeholders across sales, marketing, product, finance, legal, operations, and project delivery teams, as well as managing virtual bid teams. You will bring strategic thinking, project management expertise, and commercial acumen to drive successful outcomes.
Primary responsibilities:
Bid Management:
Manage the end-to-end bid process, ensuring all deadlines and governance requirements are met.
Lead and coordinate virtual bid teams, including SMEs, sales, marketing, finance, legal, and project delivery.
Develop clear win strategies in collaboration with the CRO and Account Managers.
Conduct analysis of bid requirements and lead Go/No-Go reviews.
Document and track risks throughout the bid lifecycle.
Ensure proposals are compelling, high-quality, and aligned with client requirements.
Prepare and review commercial aspects to ensure winning bids maintain Cyro margins.
Plan and manage all client presentations required as part of the bid process.
Drive continuous improvement via post-bid reviews, documenting lessons learned.
Market Engagement and Pre-RFP Activities:
Monitor and manage PQQ/RFI/RFP platforms (Achilles, CSS3, G-Cloud, Bravo) for early identification of opportunities.
Maintain the Cyro Bid Library and software, ensuring content remains up to date with market trends.
Engage in market intelligence gathering and pre-RFP client engagement to inform solution development.
Project Management:
Coordinate bid-related tasks across multiple workstreams to ensure timely and effective delivery.
Manage resources and dependencies, mitigating risks to meet deadlines without disrupting business priorities.
Support the creation of HLD documentation, task breakdowns, and 3rd party/vendor inputs as required.
Security and Compliance:
Ensure bid activities adhere to internal governance processes.
Work with legal, operations, and resourcing teams during the negotiation and contract phase.
CRITICAL COMPETENCIES:
Proven experience operating in the bid process, proposal writing, or within a similar role
Experience working in a deadline-driven environment with multiple stakeholders.
Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly
Outstanding attention to detail
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools and familiarity with bid management software
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Enjoy being a team player, ability to convey company culture, values and work ethic to internal staff as well as customers and business partners.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Minimum relevant experience: 3–5 years in solution selling, bid management, or pre-sales roles.
BPSS cleared and eligible for SC
Experienced in project coordination of professional consultancy and managed services.
Excellent organisational skills with analytical and planning skills
Proven stakeholder management skills
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Methodical with good numeric / financial skills
Takes responsibility and ownership of tasks, seeking clarification as required
Fully conversant with Microsoft suite of products - to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, SharePoint and Teams (Approvals, Shifts)
Desirable experience within the cyber security industry sector
Levels of responsibility: SFIA Level 5
