THE VACANCY:
Cyro is looking for an Operational Finance Manager to join the Operations Department, reporting to the Chief of Staff.
This position provides an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to be the key interface between Project & Service Delivery teams and our outsourced Finance function. The role will involve Financial Analysis, Customer Invoicing, Supplier management, and Management Reporting of performance indicators to the company’s Operating Board and Senior Management Team.
Cyro is looking for someone to take ownership of this critical operational and financial activity to enable the continued growth of the business.
The candidate will be expected to drive efficiencies throughout the team and broader company operations through development and adherence to business process, effective process adoption and change management.
Primary responsibilities:
Business financial analysis, data interpretation, commentary, exception identification and error resolution using the following reports:
project and service margin
consultant utilisation
project overrun and underrun against sold
consultancy backorder
project budget vs actual
delivery forecast month and quarter ahead
project status and risk
adhoc requests
Maintain Forecast dashboards, roll monthly reports and create new reports as required.
Assist with Head Office financial reporting & analysis.
Review internal project codes to validate correctness and variance to budget.
Work with project managers, Head of Project Delivery and Head of Service Delivery to communicate the customer project & services billing instructions to our Finance team, including the preparation of billing accruals and deferrals.
Resolve customer billing queries.
Propose any invoicing correction and request credit notes for approval.
Align any external supplier cost of sales with associated revenue.
Align contracted days for placements with external contractor.
Manage customer purchase orders and renewal on annual expiry.
Manage customer rechargeable expenses.
Manage staff training budget.
Review and approve staff reimbursable expenses.
Review and validate supplier payments.
Identification and feedback of further business opportunities.
Support Operating Board team with adhoc financial and / or data analysis requests.

Essential skills and experience:
Eligible to work in the UK and eligible for BPSS clearance.
Proven numeracy / accounting skills either by experience or working towards AAT qualification or other accountancy institute.
Excellent organisational skills and planning skills.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Takes responsibility and ownership of tasks, seeking clarification as required.
Fully conversant with Microsoft suite of products - to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, SharePoint and Teams.
“Can do” attitude and team member.
Desireable Characteristics
Eligible for SC (Security Clearance).
Advantageous knowledge of Microsoft Business Central and Forecast (part of Accelo) application.
Desirable experience within the cyber security industry sector.
Levels of responsibility: SFIA Level 4
