The Vacancy:
The Junior Information Assurance Practitioner role is designed for individuals looking to start their careers in information assurance and cyber security. This position involves working closely with experienced professionals in Cyro Cyber to support clients in implementing and maintaining robust security practices.
The ideal candidate is a person seeking practical experience within cyber security. Strong communication skills, an analytical mind, a commitment to excellence in client satisfaction, adaptability and willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
Governance, Risk and Compliance
Support team members in delivery of client engagements, focussing on regulatory, framework or Standard specific consulting including:
ISO 9000, 22301, 27001, 27701,42000
Government: TSA, NIS, CAF, DORA, CRA
NIST: 800, CSF
The successful candidate may also have the opportunity to:
Support Virtual CISO engagements
Support Cyber Security Maturity Assessment
Support Third Party Risk Management
Join one of our teams dedicated to providing a Managed Service for a variety of clients. Such roles commonly involve acting as the Cyro representative for information and cyber security matter between the customer and more specialist Cyro departments or team members.
Internal Compliance and Security
Support the Cyro Cyber CISO and Internal Compliance team in delivery of their duties, to include:
Ensure compliance of services with relevant regulatory standards and frameworks (CREST SOC, ISO27001, Cyber Essentials, PSN, CAF, NIST, ISO9001, ISO2000).
Third Party Risk Management.
Response to Supplier Due Diligence Activity.
Maintain overall security posture.
Manage the Cyro instance within the internal GRC platform, to support the compliance efforts above.
Client and Stakeholder Engagement
Contribute to team efforts to collaborate with clients to identify their cybersecurity needs and deliver desired services solutions.
Support sales and marketing teams by contributing to content or events.
Technology and Innovation
Contribute to internal and external campaigns to improve Cyro Cyber’s Service Offering.
Contribute to automate and streamline processes for greater efficiency.

Essential Skills and Experience
General understanding of cyber security frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
General understanding of IT Security.
Understanding of the Service Management principles and processes, specifically Incident and Problem Management and Change Management.
Demonstratable attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
Good presentation and relationship management skills.
Eligible for Security Clearance (successful appointment will be subject to being granted Security Clearance)
Desirable Skills and Experience
Academic qualifications or certifications relating to cyber or information security.
Experience working within a service-based role.
Demonstratable experience working in environments using Service Management principles.
